Dental implant marketing ROI calculator
Enter your monthly ad budget, your average case value and the share of consultations that accept treatment. The calculator turns them into leads, booked consultations, accepted cases, implant revenue and return on ad spend — using the full-arch benchmarks we publish, which you can overwrite with your own numbers. Change a field and the link updates, so you can send the result to a partner or your office manager.

How the numbers are calculated
Every implant practice has the same five-step funnel, and the calculator simply walks a monthly budget through it. Budget divided by cost per lead gives the number of leads. Leads multiplied by the lead-to-consult rate gives booked consultations. Consultations multiplied by the close rate gives accepted cases. Cases multiplied by average case value gives implant revenue, and revenue divided by total cost — media budget plus any agency fee you enter — is the return on ad spend. There is no hidden weighting; the arithmetic is the same one a treatment coordinator can do on a napkin.
The defaults are the worked example from our guide to dental implant marketing pricing in 2026: a $5,000 monthly paid-search budget at $300 per full-arch lead, a 30% lead-to-consult rate, a 30% close rate and a $30,000 average arch. That produces roughly 17 leads, 5 consultations and 1.5 cases a month — about $45,000 in implant revenue, or a 9x return on the media budget before the agency fee.
| Input | Default | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly ad budget | $5,000 | Media spend only — what Google and Meta bill you, not the agency fee. |
| Average case value | $30,000 | Collected revenue per accepted case. Full-arch practices typically sit between $25,000 and $60,000; single-implant practices far lower. |
| Consult-to-case close rate | 30% | Share of consultations that accept treatment. Full-arch benchmark from paid search is 25–40%. |
| Cost per lead | $300 | Benchmark for a full-arch lead from Google Ads is $150–$400; mature SEO and Map Pack run $30–$100. |
| Monthly agency fee (optional) | $0 | Management fee on top of media spend. Counts toward total cost, not toward leads — it is what turns ROAS into a fully loaded return. See our published pricing. |
| Lead-to-consult rate | 30% | Share of leads that become a booked consultation. 25–40% on paid search when every lead is answered within a minute. |
Reading the result honestly
Three cautions. First, the model is linear and real markets are not: doubling a budget in a mid-size metro usually raises cost per lead before it raises case volume, so treat large budgets as an upper bound. Second, the two rates that move the result most — lead-to-consult and close rate — are controlled by the office, not the ads. A practice that answers every lead within a minute and runs a structured consultation can sit at the top of the published ranges; one that returns calls the next morning cannot, whatever the agency does. Third, the calculator ignores the single-implant, restorative and hygiene revenue that arrives with every full-arch patient, and it ignores organic and Map Pack consultations, which after six months typically arrive at a third of the paid cost per lead. For most practices the real blended return is higher than the paid-only number shown here.
If you want the fully loaded version, enter the monthly agency fee in the optional field under Assumptions — it is added to total cost without generating leads — and compare the result with our published pricing. If you want to see what the funnel looks like in a real practice, the case studies below report the same metrics the calculator estimates.
Questions about the calculator
How does the implant marketing ROI calculator work?
- It runs five numbers through the same funnel every implant practice has. Monthly ad budget divided by cost per lead gives leads; leads times the lead-to-consult rate gives booked consultations; consultations times the close rate gives accepted cases; cases times average case value gives revenue; and revenue divided by budget is the return on ad spend. The defaults are the full-arch paid-search benchmarks from our pricing guide, and every field can be changed to match your own practice.
What is a good return on ad spend for dental implant marketing?
- A trailing-twelve-month ROAS of 6x to 12x on implant-specific spend is the range we publish as healthy — every dollar of marketing returning six to twelve dollars of implant revenue within a year. Below 4x usually points to a funnel problem (slow follow-up, low show rate or a weak consultation) rather than an ad problem; above 15x usually means the budget is too small for the market and you are leaving cases on the table.
Does the calculator include agency fees and SEO?
- Not by default. The budget field is media spend only, because that is the part that scales linearly into leads. To see fully loaded ROAS, enter the monthly agency fee in the optional field under Assumptions — it is added to total cost without generating extra leads, so the return falls accordingly. Organic and Map Pack consultations are not modelled either; once they mature they arrive at a far lower cost per lead ($30–$100 versus $150–$400 on paid search), which is why the real blended return after month six is usually higher than the paid-only figure the calculator shows.
